We
worked closely with the internationally renowned 'Silicon
Meadow' on this Web Site for the human resources departments
of Sony Europe. The site was first built and implemented just over
a year before it was brought to us and our task was to take the
site plus all of the things they had learned about the existing
site (likes/dislikes etc.) and create a whole new site available
in 13 languages across the Sony 'Intranet' network.
With the first phase declared a complete success, we were also called
in on phase 2 to make some further modifications to the structure
and add another 5 languages
The Sony Workstyle site is exclusively available on their internal 'Intranet' network and can usually only be accessed by Sony employees, interested customers should contact us to arrange a viewing.
We worked on construction of the main Flash animation for this CD ROM production for The Environment Agency and Eco Tech. The CD has been distributed to upper schools across the UK to help educate 11 - 15 year olds about creating a sustainable environment and about the impact of a modern society upon the environment. Because of the limited bandwidth over the Internet it is not practical to put this production online, however, interested customers should contact us to arrange a viewing.
We have now completed 4 phases of building on The Purr Company Web Site
Starting with a micro-site to support their brisk eBay Sales, the company quickly built a solid customer base. This lead to the adding of a basic shopping facility and then a full e-commerce system, newsletter management system and database driven cat picture gallery.
We also implemented strategies that have lead to top place rankings in Google, Yahoo and MSN, bringing in streams of free traffic and extra sales. We still maintain and update this site on a regular basis and have recently begun work on their wholesaler support site at www.thepurrcompany.co.uk.
Classics Direct is a specialist music company selling classical music in many formats via mail order. When they approached us to discuss how they could use the Internet to develop their business, they had no fixed plan as to what they wanted to do or what the end result might be. Like many companies established before the Internet boom, they just knew they were missing out by not getting involved.
After discussions covering all manner of possibilities it was decided that the web site should first support their already successful print media marketing campaigns, and so version 1 does exactly that. Offering comprehensive PDF lists of the latest releases and promotions, with an interactive order form that can either be submitted from the web site or printed out and mailed, the site is now live and in regular use by existing and new customers alike.
Since the site went live we have made updates on a monthly basis. We are currently working closely with Classics Direct to analyse the traffic and devise a strategy for taking the site forward as visitor numbers and sales increase. We are also developing a site for their sister company, Compact Music.
VW restoration specialists Emo Engineering approached us in late 2006 asking for help getting their business online. At the time they had no web site, email facilities or other online presence but they knew that not only are these things important for all modern businesses but they're also great tools for marketing.
The first stage has been to buy the right domain name (www.emoengineering.co.uk) and set up a basic information page while we develop the rest of their site. They now also use email for communication and are beginning to successfully use the web to generate leads and interest in their work.
Development is underway and a more in depth site detailing their highly specialised work should be online in early 2008.
Colchester's leading candle shop, Cradle of the Sun, approached us with their ideas for a new web site to support their ongoing drive to expand their business. We are now working with them to finalise plans for a fully featured e-commerce web site.
In the meantime they have asked us to make a simple 'business card on the web' type page, displaying their contact information and helping to get their address known in the major directories in advance of the completion of their full site.
In 2004 the
Suffolk West Primary Care Trust (PCT) tried to end almost all hospital services in Sudbury by closing the much needed Walnuttree and St. Leonard's hospitals.
A campaign to keep the hospitals open was mounted by staff and local residents, which was supported and documented by the web site we built and maintained at saveourhospitals.net.
Despite some initial success, the campaign was ultimately unsuccessful and in early 2006 the PCT decided to close the hospitals. The hospitals remain open at the present time and we are very pleased to offer our support to a number of patients that have mounted a legal challenge through the courts system and we wish them the best of luck.
Network UPVC came to us with a very thorough brief they had already made. They knew that they wanted their site to show a sample of their range of products to potential new customers and they asked us to follow their guidelines as to the style and content of their site, keeping consistent with their existing corporate imagery.
We worked with them to deal with all of the technical issues around their initial idea, and created this site for them with less than 3 weeks from our first meeting to the final build of the site.
Above is just a selection of the projects we have worked on,
